HELPFUL HINTS FOR YOUR PETITE ELITE DANCER

1. Arrive early to give your dancer time to get comfortable with the new surroundings. Label belongings, especially shoes.

2. Dancers should snack before class. Please take dancers to bathroom before class to avoid classroom disruptions.

3. Please be sure to always escort your dancer to and from the classroom!

4. Stay up to date on news. Read all newsletters thoroughly and feel free to speak with desk staff regarding any questions or concerns

P.E.A PARTIES!!!

Petite Elite Academy celebrates major holidays with family parties! On these days family members are invited into the classroom, the last 20 minutes of class, to view their dancer’s performance. Holidays that will be celebrated at The Dance Barre;

Halloween
Holiday Party (Christmas, Hanukkah)
Valentines Day

*On these special days tutus or costumes are allowed as long as dancers can move freely.

*Keep your eye out for Newsletters informing you of dates for your dancer’s Party day.

*Also look for our FATHER/DAUGHTER or MOTHER/SON VALENTINE’S DANCE!
Complete with Activities, Catered Dinner and a special performance. The dancers along with their honoured guest will learn a routine to perform.

PETITE ELITE ACADEMY (P.E.A.)

The P.E.A.'s consist of dancers from age 2 to 6 years. This special program runs 45 minutes and is priced separate from our regular class sessions that run for 1 hour.

Learning basic motor skills and musicality children will be a part of a magical experience, focusing on imagination and whimsical dreams.

Children will develop muscles and muscle memory. Many different learning tools and resources will be used to enhance the learning experience.

U & Me (2 yrs.) Class- 2 year olds with parent or guardian for full 45 minute class.This class caters to our youngest dancers. Children will develop motor skills while having fun. From plies to shuffles to somersaults; this program covers it all while "U" bond with your budding dancer.

3 Yr. Combo Class- Progressing from "U and Me", the three year old dancers are now learning to develop on their own. Starting in tap shoes at the barre to ballet centre floor these young dancers will begin to connect. This will be a Tap / Ballet / Acro class. Each class runs 45 minutes and offers a different flair. your child will learn to enjoy different disciplines in a balanced and

The 4/5 and 5/6 year old P.E.A.s Classes- Continued progression toward co-ordinated movements. These age groups will have a choice of the following classes:

Your little one won’t be green with envy when all PEAs are dressed in the same leotards. At The Dance Barre we promote equality to let our dancers budding talents shine through.
*While fancy costumes, tutus and dress-up jewelry are fun, they can be distracting to your child and others. Please follow the dress code.

Parents/Guardians of our 2 year old dancers must attend all classes. Please wear comfortable clothing and ballet slippers, bare feet or clean sneakers (running shoes).
Please NO pagers, cell phones, drinks or food.
*Siblings should not be brought into the classroom.
*Cameras should be saved for party days, as they are distracting to the children during class.
